The Shooting of Thomas Hurndall

Tom, a photojournalism student, joins the International Solidarity Movement, a Palestinian-founded organisation that makes non-violent protests against the Israeli presence in the Occupied Territories.  On April 11, 2003 in Gaza, he was shot by Taysir Hayb, a member of Israeli Defence Forces, while rescuing children from the zone of fire.  An Israeli army report whitewashes the incident,  so the distraught Hurndalls conduct their own investigation into the shooting.

This actor (Ziad Backry) who played the shooter Taysir looked liked Satan himself.
A picture of the real Taysir shows an ordinary looking 20 year old boy.

The Hurndalls (Stephen Dillane and Kerry Fox) are shocked to hear that their son has been shot in Gaza.

Despite the propaganda aspect, the film is well done and offers plenty of eye candy for Dillane lovers ;-)
