Kings In Grass Castles

If you're jonesin' for more epic Dillane, there's more of him here than you can shake a stick at, and it doesn't get much hotter than a strappin' Irishman in the Outback.

Playing immigrant patriarch Patsy Durack, we again get to see him age from about 20 to 70, but unlike Jefferson, Patsy isn't allergic to manual labor, and bought his way out of virtual slavery. Working his way up from rags to riches, he ultimately becomes a cattle baron.

Patsy still makes binding agreements by spitting in his hand and shaking it, but that's about the only saliva exchange you'll see. His wife is played by Susan Lynch, that vicious, pale woman from "Girl With a Pearl Earring", so I was more disappointed that I didn't see a single kangaroo or wombat, but it's still an engaging mini series.
